I am a National Software Management Insider and I have some secrets to share with you. There are many things that people don’t know about me, but there are also many things that they do know. People often ask me if I work for myself or if I work for someone else. They might ask what my day-to-day job is like, or how much money do you make? These are all good questions, but the most important one is “What advice can you give me on how to succeed in my career as a software professional?”
This article will answer these questions and more!

The first thing I would say to someone who is just starting their career in the software industry is that they should be networking. One of the most important skills for a software professional or anyone else, really, is being able to network and make connections with other people. There are many ways you can reach out and start making these connections it could be through social media platforms like LinkedIn or Facebook.
Attending conferences and other events where you live; talking about your work at local meetups for developer, reaching out to your friends on those channels if there’s something specific you want advice on..the list goes on! What matters most though is taking action NOW so that your networks aren’t empty when things get busy later. Networking will help you get promoted and find the information, advice or resources that’ll help you do your job more effectively.
