This would not make sense as a comment because it does not have anything to do with why “last names starting with L are going to be big by 2022.” This seems like someone commenting on an article about what they think of the blog rather than what they think of the content specifically. The idea from Cindi sounds more appropriate as a comment since she talks about how her own personal experience relates to the topic at hand – thanks for writing this article 🙂
Reason #01 – The L Name is an Easy Word to Spell
Marilyn Monroe, Lou Gehrig, even Mark Zuckerberg’s last name starts with the letter L. When thinking about names that start with “L” most people think of words like lollipop and London. These are all fairly easy words for some English speakers to spell out because they only have one vowel followed by another consonant in them (a short vowel sound).
Reason #02: Names That Start With ‘L’ Sound Different From Other Letters – This Might be Good if You Want Your Child’s First or Last Name To Stand Out from Others
The word “Lisa” has a different sound than other letters because the “L” sound is more like a hard “h” than an “l”. This might be good if you want your child’s first or last name to stand out from others.
Reason #03 – The L Name Has Characteristics of Other Popular Names That Start With ‘S’ and ‘R’
The letter l has some characteristics in common with other popular names that start with S such as Seth, Sophia, and Samara (which all have short vowel sounds). It also shares similarities with R starting names such as Ryan and Reagan because they both have long vowel sounds. Some parents may find this appealing when looking for something new to spell their baby’s name.
Reason #04: Last Names That Start With L are Unusual
Some parents might like this because it’s unusual. The last name may stand out more than others, and the child becomes known for their unique name instead of a common one. This is also helpful if you have an uncommon first or middle name to go with it as well. It can help make your baby’s personality even more memorable since they will be easily identifiable by people in school, work, etc., that know them both by sight and sound!
Reason #05: Parents Might Like Last Names That Start With ‘L’ Because They Spell Easily
Parents find some letters difficult to spell, but “Lisa” spells very easily without any issues at all (which is the name of a last name that starts with L).
