I’ve always been a self-starter. I never really thought about it too much until I was in my late twenties. I had just joined a business venture and was working out of a small office space in New York City. I was running my business from my dorm room in the middle of the night. I needed a place to work out of and a way to do a few things around the house.
I was living in a dorm apartment, I had no car, and no real friends. The only people I had contact with were me and a few of my roommates, all of whom had cars. It was just me, my roommate, and my dog.
So I was working out of that apartment and having a roommate. That was in the late ‘80s. I was a student, a new person, and a little more broke than I needed to be. I didn’t have a car yet, I didn’t have any friends, I didn’t have a place to stay. It was all very new to me.
In the early 1990s, I was living in an apartment with a roommate and a dog. I would have to walk to the apartment every day because my roommate was always going to his job. So I’d walk over to the apartment, get changed, get my new clothes, and walk back home. We’d go out to eat, or a movie, or whatever. I was always trying to get a job to pay the rent, but nobody would hire me because I was too broke.
This lifestyle was also very new to me. I had no idea how to negotiate a job interview or negotiate the rent. I only knew how to walk to the apartment and then wait in the lobby for my new roommate to show up. I never had a car and I did not have a roommate either. The only friends I had were my friends on the internet who would drive me to the places I wanted to go in my car.
I’m not sure I could even explain what this lifestyle is because I never actually had a life. I was always in school, and I was always in college. I was always on the treadmill. I was always looking for jobs. I was always trying to get a promotion and then finding that I didn’t get it. I was always looking for a new job. I was always trying to do what’s right for me and not the other way around.
I didn’t have a life. I never had a real job, ever. I didn’t have a car, I never owned it. I wasn’t even in college and I had two jobs. I was always trying to do what was right for me and not what was right for others. I was always trying to get a promotion and then finding that I didnt get it.
Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship can be quite a tricky thing. Entrepreneurship is the creation and development of new products and services. It is defined as “the act of making new things,” and that means many things. For many entrepreneurs, it also means taking risks and expanding their brand into new markets. Some entrepreneurs thrive on taking risks, but a big percentage of entrepreneurs go through life doing what is right for them.
Entrepreneurial people are often more focused on the creation of new possibilities for themselves, rather than the execution of existing possibilities. They are more likely to have entrepreneurial leanings than most people.
I’m not saying that entrepreneurs don’t make mistakes. But I am saying that they are also more likely to be risk-averse than most people. It’s often not about making a mistake; it’s about making a decision that is right for you.
