We have a lot of options for meat-free eating, but some of them are pretty expensive, so it’s difficult for vegetarians to make a go at it. We can always cook vegan meals, but that doesn’t really do much for the cost.
I love the idea of vegan eating, but personally I think that it would be difficult for me to eat a meat-free diet because it would be a complete change in my lifestyle. I am a vegetarian by choice because I do not eat any animal products, and also, I believe that animals are an important part of the environment and the ecosystem as well. We all need to be aware of this, but I would like to see vegetarians making the switch.
Vegans are one of the most under-represented segments of the population and it’s not hard to see why. Vegans are more likely to be non-white, non-Latino, non-caucasian, and they’re also more likely to be single. People are attracted to vegetarianism as an alternative lifestyle choice for weight loss, health reasons, and dieting, but it’s also possible to live a life without animal products.
