We’re all familiar with the saying, “If you’re not in the moment, you’re living in the past.” This reminds me of a quote that I love because it reminds me that I’m not living in the past. I can’t be a ninja when I’m cooking because I’m in the present.
The ninja is doing something in the future, but he is also doing something right now. The lifestyle martial artist is doing something today, but he or she is doing something that is right for them in the present. These are two different types of martial artists, so you can think of them as being quite different personalities but both practicing the same martial arts.
The lifestyle martial artist is likely to be someone who practices his martial arts in the present. It could also be someone who practices his martial arts in the future. In either case, his or her martial art is going to be in the present.
The lifestyle martial artist uses the present-moment practice of his or her martial art when he or she is in the present.
The lifestyle martial artist’s mindset is going to be a combination of present-moment, past-moment, future-moment. The lifestyle martial artist will be in the present, but he or she is going to be using his or her martial art to “keep the peace” in the present.
This is the same mindset that keeps martial artists alive in the present. That’s because when martial artists are in the present, they are not in a fight. They are not trying to stop someone from doing something they think is terrible. They are trying to stay alive and prevent themselves from dying.
What they are doing is keeping themselves alive. They are attempting to prevent themselves from being killed by someone who is trying to kill them. If you think about it, if people are trying to kill you, then there is a fight going on. They are not trying to kill you. They are trying to keep themselves alive. A martial artist is an actual person fighting someone who is trying to take them from you. They are trying to keep themselves alive. They are not trying to kill you.
These are the lessons that I learned from my own father and grandfather. They taught me that I should never take a life, even if it was a life that I knew I should not take. So if I am going to take a life, if it is to help someone I love, I have to take the life that I know is the best option to helping that person.
The way I see it, martial arts are a way to protect yourself from yourself. It’s a way to be safe, a way to not get hurt, a way to protect yourself from the things that you don’t want to do. We all have a little bit of that, a little bit of that is in us, a little bit of that is in our family, a little bit of that is in our neighborhood, a little bit of that is in our job.
We all have a little bit of that too, because we live in a society that does not value us. It is very easy to get hurt by people we dont know. And we all have a little bit of that. But in this day and age, martial arts is a means to that end. It is a way to protect yourself from the things you dont want to do, to be safe, and to protect yourself from the things that you need to protect yourself from.
