Los Angeles lifestyle photographer and blogger David H. is a master at capturing moments and emotions in photos and videos. His passion for photography led him from an unfulfilling photography job in New York to his current role as the website editor for his own photography site, Photoblogs.com. He has been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Glamour.com, and many more.
We’ve had the pleasure of interviewing David about his new book, The Life & Times of a Professional Photographic Life, which was published in late 2011. There are a lot of interesting tidbits to the book, including his thoughts on the photography industry and its impact on his lifestyle. I also love the new website he recently unveiled featuring a variety of photography from his collection.
David has a portfolio that is well-known, but we had the pleasure of meeting him at a party last week and he was really refreshing. We were a bit surprised to learn that the first thing he said to us, was “I’m the type of person who takes pictures.” That’s a definite compliment. And it was only when we asked him about his photography collection that he revealed his secret to his collection: The Life amp Times of a Professional Photographic Life.
If you think you might like to have a more traditional photography style, David suggests photography books, but he’s also got a large collection of his own photographs. And while his photos look great on their own, he says they can also be used as wallpaper, prints, or a wall-mounted art. He’s also got a great collection of his own photographs.
A classic photographer who is also a photographer for a major lifestyle magazine, David has worked in the industry for some time now, and he’s been a professional since he was 21. He’s been shooting and shooting and shooting, and you can actually tell he has an addiction to it. He’s a very proud father of two, and he’s got that whole photo-journalism thing going on, where he’s always working on one new piece of work.

He was always a professional photographer, but he seems to have found his obsession in the industry. I think it all started in his early 20s, when he started making really good money taking photos of people and places. At first, he worked for magazines such as National Geographic, and then as he got older he started making his own work, which allowed him to make a living doing what he loved to do.
I know that this may seem a little excessive to some, but I think it’s a lot of fun. And he seems to be doing it quite well. You can see all his work on his site here.

The photos are of him and his friends who he and his fellow photographers meet up with to shoot photos of them. It is so much fun to see his work go viral.
