I can remember watching The Biggest Loser, The Amazing Race, America’s Next Top Model, or Lifetime while growing up. There was always something to watch on the television (and there were several on the internet, too).
There are other things that were on the television, too, like the very short-lived The Real World. I know that because I watched that. It was on TV for only 2 seasons I believe, and in that time it was all very formulaic and I quickly stopped watching it.
